PAULA BAACK, VOCAL COACH

PEAK PERFORMANCE VOICE STUDIO: Established in 2006

The Peak Performance Voice Studio offers vocal, choral and theatre arts instruction. Both IN PERSON and ZOOM lessons are available. All genres of singing are encouraged. Click Here for my recording of the duet Sull Aria performed with a former student. Even though I am a classically trained singer, I also enjoy singing pop, musical theatre and jazz as heard in my rendition of “Sooner or Later” from the movie Dick Tracy.

WHY CHOOSE PEAK PERFORMANCE VOICE STUDIO?

A wide range of voice coaching in classical, musical theatre, pop, jazz and other genres provides a well balanced learning opportunity to best meet your needs.

Currently accepting students ages 9-adult (beginning, intermediate and advanced) in all singing styles.

Mission Statement

If I cannot fly, let me sing! (Stephen Sondheim)

Singing is not just in the moment but encompasses a lifetime.

Studies show students who commit to music lessons score higher on achievement tests. Imagine experiencing the exhilaration of singing and strengthening cognitive skills! There are even more benefits to singing: creativity; confidence booster, better public presentations, and a general feeling of happiness!

Singing becomes a form of therapy. (Placido Domingo)

With sound vocal pedagogy and positive mentoring, measurable progress should be experienced within 60 days. This will be achieved through daily practice and weekly lesson attendance.

The Lesson of the Turtle

Singing is risk-taking! In order to get anywhere in life, you have to stick your neck out!  The studio awards turtle replicas to those students who are ready and eager to get out and sing!  Enroll today and find out what potential you or your child may have in singing.  It’s a risk but worth it!

This past year, several students from the studio were cast in leads, supporting roles, ensembles and tech in their high school musicals. Astral: ensemble of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers ; Claire: (lead) in Xanadu; Griffin: (supporting role) in Matilda; Harry: ensemble in Matilda; Jacquelyn: ensemble in Nice Work If You Can Get ItLyndon: ensemble in Matilda; Makena: (supporting lead) in The Drowsy Chaperone; Riana: (ensemble/choreographer) in Once Upon a Mattress; Zoe: (lead) in Spamalot.

This slideshow is a compilation of the many faces who make music here every week. In 2019-2021, Peak Performance Voice Studio was chosen the Best of Monument Voice Studios.

Don’t Know Why

ZOOM LESSONS WORK! CONGRATULATIONS TO Tatiana, age 20, who auditioned and was accepted into a Division I university as a music education major! She studied virtually with the studio, enrolled in a community college music program on the west coast. As a singer, her goal this year is to accompany herself on piano. Give a listen to Georgia which Tatiana recorded recently, accompanying herself on piano. She just recorded “Motherless Child” working on a more classical sound. Eventually Tatiana hopes to accompany herself on this piece as well. She has a band which covers rock and jazz. They are gigging about three to four times per week. Tatiana is about to finish a movie in which she is featured.
